What is Dyscourse?

Dyscourse is an interactive choice-based narrative adventure game where you journey through a stylized world of choice and consequence. You play as Rita, an unfortunate art school grad turned barista who is now stuck on a desert island with a crew of misfit travelers. That last choice you just made? It may end up being integral to your rescue or you might have just incited a riot leading to a delightful bout of cannibalism.

Dyscourse is the Lord of the Flies plus a choose-your-own-adventure book, with a dash of LOST, and a sprinkle of The Walking Dead (minus the zombies), crafted with the humor and style Owlchemy Labs is known for.

Choice and Consequence

Stories in Dyscourse are emergent and choices made in the game are key to the success of your group. As players get to know their fellow castaways and make critical, interpersonal decisions, the drama is dynamically woven and your choices directly author your unique story.

We've designed Dyscourse so that 10 players will end up with 10 vastly different player stories forged from the choices made in a non-superficial way. With over 80,000 words and hours of content, each playthrough allows players to explore more of the overall “story space” and learn more about the crash and the mysterious events on the island.
